• Assist the study principal investigator (PI) in the planning and execution of research protocols approved by appropriate institutional review boards. 
• Coordinate the creation and management of study documents including Study Specific Procedures (SSPS), demographic, administrative, laboratory and clinical study source documents. 
• Prepares for inspections and audits by external Regulatory Agencies e.g., U.S. FDA, Cambodian IRB. 
• Ensure that the conduct of research studies are in strict accordance with the approved protocol following Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Coordinates and conducts research procedures including subject recruitment, screening, informed consent, enrolment, clinical procedures, and follow up of research volunteers.
• Assists the PI in preparing study data for poster or oral presentations at international scientific meetings and manuscript submission for publication in peer-reviewed journals.                                                              
• Prior research experience in the field of malaria, or infectious diseases is required.  Applicants will be expected to maintain qualifications in Good Clinical Practices, and other training requirements for the conduct of clinical trials.  This position will require the applicant to coordinate clinical research activities between multiple AFRIMS field sites in Cambodia. 
• Applicants can expect extensive travel between AFRIMS offices in Phnom Penh and AFRIMS field sites. 

Job Requirements

• Qualified applicants must possess a Registered Nurse degree or equivalent, and at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in clinical medicine or clinical research, or at least 1 year of field clinical research experience. 
• Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English and Khmer are required applicant must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and be skilled in the use of word processing, computer software, and other management tools as required.
